“The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud.” – Coco Chanel

This is one of my favourite quotes as it reminds me to be me and not to be influenced or pressured by outside influences. I think this is still one of the biggest challenges for most of us, and often without us even realising.

For years I know I acted, reacted and even sometimes spoke ‘in line’ with what others expected rather than what I truly felt or believed, without understanding that they weren’t necessarily my beliefs or values.

Are all your thoughts really your own? Or have they been ‘acquired’ from others? It’s definitely worth thinking about. Sometimes when we feel uncomfortable or lack motivation to do something, it is simply because we are not thinking our own thoughts.

It might be time to look at your thoughts and define which are truly yours so you can slowly filter out the others… You will feel so much more freedom from doing so…

Just like the quote below 😊.

“…I’m free, I’m free, And freedom tastes of reality”

Quick fun question, where does this quote come from? What does it mean to you?
